Commission Calculation

Total Commission = Sale Amount × (Commission Rate / 100)
Your Commission = Total Commission × (Your Split / 100)
Total Earnings = Your Commission + Base Salary

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a typical real estate commission?
Traditionally 5–6% of sale price, split between buyer's and seller's agents. Recent NAR settlement changes may alter this — some agents now charge buyer-direct fees.
What is a tiered commission?
Some plans pay higher rates after hitting quotas — e.g. 5% on first $100k, 7% on anything above. Calculate each tier separately and add the results.
